History Revisited: Holograms for Modern Audiences
Challenge: Making History Engaging and Accessible
Museums face the challenge of making history appealing and relevant to a broad audience. Not every guest is a dedicated historian or researcher. History needs to be accessible, resonant with modern lives, and, importantly, fun.
Solution: Holographic Storytelling with HoloTube
Exhibitry tackled this challenge head-on by employing holographic technology. We utilized our HoloTube platform to create an interactive holo-map of Kennedy Space Center, offering guests a chance to immerse themselves in the rich history of Cape Canaveral.

Interactive Exploration: A Journey Through Time
Visitors can embark on a virtual odyssey, choosing specific time periods to explore. For instance, selecting the late 1960s Apollo missions transports guests back to 'Cape Kennedy' of that era. A holographic bird's-eye-view flyover reveals the landscape as it was, complete with detailed recreations of buildings, launchpads, and vehicles from the time.
Tactile Exploration
The experience is deepened by touch-driven interactivity. Guests can select items on the touchscreen to 'fly down' for a closer look, exploring launchpads and historic artifacts, some of which no longer exist in physical form. This feature not only enhances the learning experience but also preserves the legacy of these monumental sites and events.
Impact: Revitalizing Historical Engagement
This holographic approach revolutionized how history is presented and experienced at the Gateway Deep Space Launch Center. By blending technology with storytelling, we transformed historical exploration into an engaging, dynamic, and educational journey, making the past more accessible and enjoyable for all visitors.
